Parties & Policies - For Voters

 Improving Voter Options & Choices

Understanding Your needs

The Gold Green Forum (GGF) is developing an education and information service for voters. Our systems and information content will help our workers, younger people and other voters, to better understand how they use their vote and how they can contribute. Voters will be more well-informed.

Party and policy offerings will be presented to help Australian voters, to make their decisions.

Party Information

       Goals and Objectives
       Rationalisation of Government waste
       The Role of government
       Economic Principles
       Federal, State, Local – Responsibilities
       Your Party Funding Details
       Efficiency – financial discipline
Taxation and Finance – Budget Goals

Each Party position on areas of common interest will be compared with responses from other parties and candidates.

Policy Positions:

       Education
       Environment
       Health
       Energy
       Welfare
       Taxation
       Industry
       Industrial Relations
       Foreign Policy
       Immigration
       Defence
       Trade & Investment

Policy for the key areas will compare:

  • Underlying principles.
  • Objectives
  • Existing Government activities.
  • Proposed changes.
  • Benefits of the changes.
  • Outcomes - Measures of success.
  • Responsibilities (State and Federal) and
  • Costs involved – existing and proposed.

Apart from each area of government responsibility, voters will have a full business case for Government, with sub-business cases for each area of responsibility. This is currently not evident in any form, apart from the annual government budgets that are complex and do not clearly justify the activities of Australian government(s).
Voters and GGF Members will have a simple and clear view of parties and their policies in the nominated areas. They will then be able to share their opinions and ideas to make more informed decisions.

Voters will take ownership of their preference flows, as they build their own how-to-vote cards.
